Green Business Practices

At Motto Construction, we strive to protect the environment and human health by implementing simple, cost-effective green initiatives that provide a reduced carbon footprint on the planet and reduce global warming. We use the following environmentally-conscious business practices in our day-to-day operations:

Energy Efficiency

• Install high-efficiency lights and appliances
• Install energy-efficient insulation, windows, and doors
• Conserve energy by turning off lights and unplugging unnecessary machinery
• Use high-efficiency lights and tools

Environmentally Sound

• Use low-maintenance, durable, and recycled building materials whenever possible
• Renovation of existing buildings vs. building new ones
• Install water-efficient toilets, showerheads, and faucets

Better Waste Management

• Minimize waste in office and at project site
• Print less paper materials (e.g., digital submission of estimates)
• Reuse packaging and shipping materials

Recycling

• Recycle demolition debris and scrap materials, including wood, metal, porcelain, etc.
• Recycle paper, glass, aluminum, and other metals
• Recycle boxes and other cardboard materials
• Recycle and properly dispose of used electronics
• Recycle vehicle fluids, oils, etc.

Protect Human Health

• Use state-of-the-art dust-extractors and ventilation during construction
• Use no- or low-VOC paint on interior dwelling surfaces
• Use shower installation technique that prevents mold and mildew
